What I remember about raising boys alone:

8/23/08
This is going to be like a journal:
8/23/08

I remember when my 1st child was born; I got every type of literature that was on pregnancy. I wanted to know what was developing, if possible on a daily basis, crazy huh. Well, while pregnant I played classical music, and later I will tell you what that brought about, I read books to my belly. I did not care if I did not understand what I was reading, I just read. I even read some math books, and when you read try to read with drama in your voice. People will think your crazy, but who care when your baby is concerned. We parents make fools of ourselves on a daily basis for our kids. If you don’t believe me go to a kid soccer game!
When my baby boy was born I would spend as much baby awake time with him as I could, talking to him, and not in baby talk, again later I will tell you what that brought about. I would always be making faces at him, stroking him everywhere, especially after a bath. You don’t know and the baby can’t tell you if he has an itch, or some part of his body is stinging, so do stroke his whole body. You will also learn what he looks like normal, and if something is wrong you will catch it sometimes before the doctor does. I would play with him by moving his little hands, opening and closing them, putting his little fingers up to his mouth or mine, kissing his little hands is also GREAT he loves it, because he can feel you, I moved his little legs and feet, plus this action taught him to crawl and walk even faster, made him smarter too. I did as much interaction everyday that I could, of course more then once a day.
By his crib on the wall I put some posters that I started collecting before he was born, I bought a lot of cheap posters at garage sales or if I was lucky enough to get them for free even better. The posters were pictures of different things, but especially face of any kind. At the time I was on WIC, which is a program to give pregnant women or young children milk products to prevent birth defects, and well I took some of their WIC posters which have ladies, and kid’s faces on them, but any kind of poster. Many companies would love to give you their advertisement posters. I would change the poster about three times a week. Baby’s are very curious and learn at every waken moment of their first years, and they need something to look at while you go get a bottle, or are not there when they wake up. Try to keep his EVERY waken moment count towards learning, and he learns from EVERYTHING!

American Idol 2008

I HATE WHO WON! I wanted Archileta to win. Darn :-(

Ok, after all my anticipation and excitement, because I just LOVE IDOL I was able to settle down and see the guys perform last night, and there were some that were pretty good.

I love little David Archuleta he is so young and can sing with such an old soul, Jason Castro with the dreads is good as well. Jason is young, but he has such a unique style that I just would love to see him continue in the competition, that way I can see what all he can do or how far he will go, my last choice would have to be Danny Noriega he is so hip and energetic, I just plain like him, and his voice is soooo manly and soothing.
David Hernandez and Michael Johns are good, and man they are soooo good looking! They may get far just on looks! Now for the ones who sadly have to be disqualified, and If I had to be the one who picks the two that have to leave, I would have to pick Garrett Haley and David Cook they both either to young or way to fake for my tastes, but this is only my opinion. I love the show Idol, and this, I already know, is going to be the BEST year ever. I can't wait to see the women tonight. I am pushing for Carly Smithson, because when she auditioned I just heard something in her voice that I feel I would like to continue listening to, and Brooke White sounds so authentic and clean. I just hope they get farther in the competition, so we can get a good listen to how they do. Oh don't let me forget to remind you to not forget about voting, because your favorite might be booted if you don't.

Feel HONORD that you were Lied to!

Well, I have an opinion on why people don't tell the truth.

I think that people lie, because they feel that they are less than the person they are lying to. I think that they feel unworthy, unconfident, and just plain dumb. Why else would anyone feel the need to make them selves better than they are, if not for the fact that they already feel they are less than the person they feel like lying to.
Most lies are about their own situations, like maybe that they have more money than others. The liars may dress up scale, and not really be able to afford it, or they may drive an expensive car, and again not be able to afford it.
So, we who have been victims of liars need to feel honored. Honored that the lairs felt us so much more valued then they are that they needed for us not to be able to see them in their true light. They feel that we are so very important enough to them, that in their eyes they don't want to disappoint us or be judged in a negative way by us. Good, now that puts liars in a new light to us don't you think?

Why I love the UFC!

I love the UFC! It is real fighting without all the negitives that can happen to the brain and body like in boxing, and other sports. I like the fact that whom ever gets in the ring will win or not and if not he will have respect for the one that did beat him. When a fighter wins everyone knows with out a doubt that he is the best. I love the fact that Dana of the UFC does not limit the types of martial arts used in the ring, so a fighter has to know some of each type of MA to have a change at competing. A wrester alone can not cut it, an exclusive karate expert will not have a chance, and so on. I will continue to buy the PPV events as long as they have the UFC running the way it currently is.
